According to Merriam-Webster, an artist is “a person skilled in one of the fine arts.” Dictionary.com says an artist is “a person who produces works in any of the arts that are primarily subject to aesthetic criteria.”

It's easy to define such a word as "Artist". Theres so much more to it than that though isn't there? Theres literally blood, sweat and even tears in the creation of "art". Sculpture, painting, drawing of any kind, tattooing, all the types of artistry in between leaves a portion of the artist within the work. Many are very proud of having a famous artist's artwork on their walls. They say that the pieces speak to them, they see magic within the lines and curves.

My Art began with the search for myself. A way for me to explore the deeper part of myself. A way for me to let go of the stress, anxiety and control that I felt I did not have, yet strained to possess. I believe that we all desire that magic of self exploration. A way to show ourselves but at the same time, remain hidden and safe in ourselves. I strive to find myself within the curves, colors, and swipe of brush. Come along with me on my exploration of Self.
